Blood pressure?

I went to the doctor for my regular check up yesterday and my blood pressure was its normal 120/78.

Today I went to the dentist for an extraction and they refused treatment b/c my blood pressure was 194/110 and they said they wouldn't want to get started b/c I could be in danger of having a stroke while they are performing the extraction. So if I EVER get this tooth fixed, they would have to sedate me. I am admitadly terrified of the dentist, and put off getting things done b/c of this fear.

But could fear really be the only reason my blood pressure skyrocketed? It has never been high before.. does anyone know anything about that?

  • Fear, nerves, salt, any meds you took....those can all contribute to HBP. You need to see your Dr again and find out what caused it.
