Cookout side dish idea, both adult and kid friendly?

I've got hamburgers, hotdogs, pasta salad and baked beans so far, looking for something else to add to the menu, any ideas?

  • The kids we know and our son love grilled aspargus or other grilled veggies. Very easy to do just toss the veggies in a little olive oil, salt and pepper and grill for a few minutes until done. I like to sprinkle with fresh herbs after the veggies are grilled. I have a grill pan that keeps stuff from going into the coals. I usually put them on while the meat is resting after grilling.

  • I would go with a veggie tray with some dip. My kids LOVE fresh veggies when they have something to dip them in.

  • Deviled eggs is a good one. Most kids love em, even those that don't like potatoe salad will usually eat deviled eggs. We often take them for get togethers and the kids just gobble them up.
