Does anyone put strawberry Nestles Quik in their childs milk?

just spreading the word if anyone does not know that this CAN cause in SOME kids a very bad reaction, agressive, outbursts, tantrums etc
not the sugar that causes crazy behavoirs
it is the red dye #40

  • No, my kids don't care for that artificial strawberry flavor. I do make them chocolate milk-- but I use Ovaltine or Carnation instant breakfast (that way they are getting some vitamins/minerals and not just chocolate sugar).

  • I have only had one child who ever had a reaction to red dye. He is allergic, to that, and so much more.

  • I don't but we don't do flavored milk, but not b/c of the dye, I never think about tthat.

  • I had a friend whose daughter had a bad reaction to red dye, it wasnt strawberry milk but candies and koolaid. We took her dd to the er and they said to stay away from red dye which solved the mysterious rash, and fever. I limit all sugar with dd and she's never had a reaction yet.

  • We usually do chocolate but occassionally...like maybe every 6 months to a year give it to my 4 year old as a treat.
