Painted walls

what is the best way to clean painted walls? i was trying bleach & water in a spray bottle lol Def. doesnt work just takes off paint.

  • It depends on the type of paint on the walls. Flat paint (no reflection at all) is the worst to try and clean. You will usually just scrub the paint off. Gloss and semi gloss are a lot easier, and will clean with a damp sponge.

    Then there is water based vs oil based paints. Water based will also usually just scrub off, while oil based will stay on the walls.

  • If the paint is Flat or Eggshell - nothing short of repainting will help. Semi-gloss and gloss and satin - try some Mr. Clean cut in HOT water.

  • its not shiny.. its like chalk idk thats what it reminds me of & my son colored on the wall i got it off with those white erasers but, now thats the only clean spot going up the stairs! looks crazy

  • Its like Chalk - you have flat or eggshell painted walls - extremely hard to keep clean. If you can afford it, repaint with a Satin or Semi-gloss paint.
