Would you buy a refurbished cell phone? Do you think they work just as well as an unused one?

  • As long as it's from a company who has a return policy. Otherwise it's a big risk. If you have a phone sent to you from AT&T because yours is defective, it's past the 30 day in store return, but not past the year mark they will send you a refub phone

  • I had a Blackberry and I smashed it after about half a year. I bought a refurbished one on Ebay and it lasted two and a half years until I got an Iphone. I had good experience with a refurbished one.

  • I always buy refurbs from AT&T. I wouldn't buy one off ebay or a private seller.

  • No, I would not. Too many providers offer great deals on new phones.

  • So I'm looking at a phone from AT&T and can save $50 for a refurbished one. My dh has had a refurbished one before and it was just fine. I'm trying to figure out if it's normal for them to work just fine or if you're just lucky when they work well.
