  • Hydrogen peroxide? Is the stain fresh or has it been washed and dried?

  • Here are some links that deal with this subject:

It contains an enzyme that breaks down proteins. I recently used it on week-old pomegranate juice stains--totally gone (search this)

Some cooks also report that pomegranate and beet stains can be removed from the hands with a baby wipe. You may also wish to use rubber gloves to avoid pink fingers.

Pomegranate juice stains clothing permanently unless it is washed out immediately with water - only bleach can get it out later

  • my son spilled a whole lot of pomegranate juice all over his beige shorts. I immediatly washed with water, but the stain did not come out. Then I tried oxy clean and it turned the stain green. I filled the sink with cold water and about a scoop of more oxy clean and the stain was gone in less than 5 minutes. Good luck, hope this helps!

  • I tried 'Spray n Wash' laundry stain remover.. it worked OK... after that I bleached it.... n the stains were gone! :-)

A pomegranate stain that had been on my cotton khakis for a few days was completely removed by saturating it with lemon juice (this got out nearly all the stain) and then putting it in the sun.

After reading all the postings, I thought my stained cotton shirt was without hope, so I sprayed it with a weak solution of Simple Green (like for glass cleaning) and tossed it in the wash load (warm water). VOILA!!!!!! No more pomegranate stains! And I thought it would be just a work shirt. Try it for yourself if a weak solution won't work for you-surely a stronger application would. GOOD LUCK!
