  • I don't make him try it. I suggest new foods if we are eating something but I wouldn't force him into eating anything.

  • We ask DD to try something twice and if she still doesn't like it she doesn't have to eat it.

  • Before my kids can turn their nose up at something, they have to try at least one good bite. My son has actually found things he likes doing this.

A good bite for us is a normal bite of something they do like.

  • Yes....but she is only 8 months, so most food is new to her.

  • I did when they were little. Now, that they are big (and by big I mean in their 20's), they aren't afraid to try anything and everything. They have a very well rounded palate.

  • Yup. She has to try at least 1 bite. And she wants something else, she has to try that one bite without a fight, and with a good attitude.

  • When our kids were young we had the 3 bite rule.
