Does anyone else get restless leg syndrome?

I've had it for a few years but lately it's been more often.

  • I never did until I became pregnant. I had heard you could get leg cramps but I never did, I just got RLS. Now, my son is almost 5 and I still have it!

  • My DH had it really bad at times. Increasing calcium helps sometimes.

  • DH gets it. Try some tonic water in the evening. The quinine in it can be helpful

  • No, do not increase calcium, you need to increase magnesium. Calcium makes muscles contract, magnesium makes them relax. You should be getting the proper ratio (2:1) of calcium/magnesium on a daily basis. I get RLS every once and again and when I do, I take a magnesium supplement; works great for PMS cramps too!
