  • We don't buy new cars.. It's just plain silly. My Hubby is a mechanic so he knows how to maintain ours... One of them just turned 210,000 miles, and the other has almost 90,000 miles on it. They are both running great. He also just built a new engine for one of them, not because the old one was bad, but because he felt it was time. He's rebuilt the old one and sold and put it in someone elses vehicle... We actually made money off of the old one..

  • It's a 5 year loan at $348/mo, we pay $400. We're about to upgrade our vehicle and our monthly payment is going to go up to $500/mo, we're going to pay $1,500 a month.

  • My husband and I always buy used and always buy in cash. The one time at 21 that I did buy a brand new car I made a large down payment and my payments were $256 a month on a 5 year loan. I paid between 300 an 350 a month on it, because I wanted it paid off ASAP. I will NEVER buy brand new again and never finance again.

  • One car is almost $600 the other about $300... and we usually just pay what is owed... we don't get a 7 year option, here 90% of loans are 5 year loans

  • The car payments are based on the value of the car... mine is worth about $48K and hubby got a $20k car

  • $0. We do budget $100 for car maintenance and repair though. It's very nice not having a car payment! Right now that money is going into our emergency fund and helping us pay cash for school.
