Am I too old have my hair shaved in close at sides?

I have about 60% grey hair, about 3-4 inches long. I wear it kind of standing up and messy on top. (Think Billy Idol back in the day!) I'm going to have it dyed platinum white blonde and am considering having it clipped down to a quarter of an inch or so at the sides and possibly a bit at the back as well. Am I too old for this punky hairstyle at 46?

  • NO! Especially if it matches your personality :) I have seen many spunky do's look fantastic on middle aged women. Go for it!

  • No. Eighty percent of the 50yrs+ women wear that do around here.

  • Thanks, ladies. I think I'll go for it. Hey, hair grows. If it doesn't work out I can always wear a hat for a couple of weeks. Or a paper bag over my head and that deals with the wrinkles issue as well!

  • No... I would go for it. If it makes you happy and you look the way you want...then who really cares what others think.?
