What do you season or use to marinate chicken?

  • One of the easiest things I do is mix a packet of Hidden Valley Ranch italian dressing mix, 2 T. vegetable oil, and 1 C. water. Pour it over your chicken and marinate for a few hours. It's also good to baste your chicken with it if you cook it on the grill. Or pour it over the chicken and bake. If that's too much trouble for you, you plain old Italian salad dressing right out of the bottle.

  • Italian dressing- just about for an hour ( the fibers will start to break down from the vinegar if you marinade too long) Also, Emerils' essence spice is an awesome marinade.

  • I use Poultry Seasoning, Creole Seasoning for heat, and Season All for the salt. Then, I coat the chicken with mustard and put a couple of squirts of worstechire. Talk about good!

  • Olive or canola oil, lemon juice and Old Bay seasoning. Or switch out the Old Bay for oregano for a Greek twist.

  • I mix equal parts of lemon juice and olive oil with italian seasoning. Simple but yummy!

  • I did one with barbeque sauce and mixed some orange juice in with it and it was super yummy.
