I will be 16 1/2 weeks at my next OB appt.

and they have to do an ultrasound to check on a cyst but will look at the baby while they are at it. Do you think they will be able to tell the gender at that point? They will do another one at the appt after that either way to check on the baby's anatomy.

  • Yes they might be able to tell, depending on the position of the baby.

  • Cooperation is the key:) My baby was showing his/her backside. We couldn't tell the gender. I hope to find out at my next appointment.

  • both of my pregnancies i had the gender test at 16 wks and we could see clearly what it was and it was 2 girls. so you can tell at 16 wks
