Does this mean things are getting back to normal?

Two weeks ago I miscarried at eight weeks. Tomorrow will be two weeks since my D&C. When we first went to the doctor the u/s tech said the baby came from my right ovary. My left one is twinging a bit, and the bleeding has finally tapered off.

My doctor told me we can try again as soon as I have a regular cycle, which she said should be in four to six weeks. I should know the answer, but after the miscarriage my confidence in knowledge was shattered.

Is it possible, probable, even, that my body is getting back to normal?

  • Possible. Only way to know for sure is to wait and see. But if it's expected for you to have a period 4-6 weeks after, then it would also be expected that you would ovulate about 2-4.5 weeks after.
