  • thats an interesting question, if there were no comparisons for anything , how would we know anything? just think though, in early times, people just did..... take.........and do......at some point there was no good and evil.. but then someone got mad at someone else for taking something, or hurting someone, then it was decided that the act was bad. then of course the church got involved and made the rules then there was good and evil

  • Hmmm........good question. I guess if there was only good in the world it would be evident by what we experience/see in our life. No suffering, no sadness, no violence........Not a bad way to live, imo.

  • I think following a path with HEART is doing good. If your heart isnt in it then you may be doing something against your will. I believe that evil is not so blatant as just outright murder, pediophila, etc.... It can also be very subtle and indirect. Its very difficult to distinguish and know for certain. Evil is confusion. Good is direct, truthful, and clear.

  • I would have to say that there is no pure good or evil in anything. Yes someone can be more one than the other. But in all evil there is a good. In all good there is an evil. Nothing is perfect and all we can do is try our best to make it better, learn from the bad, learn from the good, and live our lifes the best we can.

  • evil and good arent really black and white. so we have to define them before we can compare them.

  • 'Evil' and 'good' are flexible words whose definitions have continued to evolve over the years. They are not defined by one being opposite of the other...but by the way society decides to define them. We don't need one to know what the other is...we simply follow whatever the current idea of 'good' and 'evil' are as determined by our society.

Really? God "planned" for it to happen? What about free will? He didn't make them disobey his commandment to keep away from the tree of knowlege - they did that all on their own.
