7 month old grinding his teeth?

So my 7 month old has just got his top two teeth to match his bottom two teeth but now he grinds them. Is this normal or something that I should take up with his doctor?

  • Nope, he is just exploring. Plus I know when I grind my teeth it helps my headaches, so he's probably teething too. Get him a mesh feeder and put watermelon, avocado, or ice in it, he will love it, and help his teething.

  • No, it's pretty normal for a baby to do that. The teeth are new and the sensation of grinding the teeth is something he hasn't felt before. He should stop once he starts getting more teeth.

  • you can get them at walmart...just little pieces of cloth connected to a plastic casing that you can open and place yummy stuff into, your child will then teeth on the mesh material.

  • My 7 months old son does that too, he just got his top teeth and griding them once awhile. Everytime he does it, I tell him no and he'll stop.

  • o this is so normal as annoying it is, my DD did this, i got her a paypay from walmart. it is flat so its not a pacifier but they can chew on it and its something in their mouth so they will stop grinding but they cant suck on it if you are against having a pacifer
