  • no. if he hasnt eaten his vegetables I tell him he has to eat 4 more bites. I say "4 more because you're 4" I don't know what it is about saying that but it gets him to eat them no problem, and he ticks the bites off his fingers haha

  • No, my mother did that and I hated it! I have told my kids to take only what they think they can eat, they can always come back for more.

  • I put small portions on my kids' plates. Then if they want more they can get seconds. That way we don't waste food.

  • I don't make my DD finish her plate, but if she doesn't, she doesn't get a snack afterwards.

Example: ice cream or a candy snack :)

  • No. Kids are people too. The deserve to eat what they're capable of eating. Just like anyone else. Now when they were toddlers and spent more time playing with their food I'd try to get them to eat more. That's just common sense.

  • It depends. Most of the time she finishes without me having to say anything to her. But if she doesn't eat much I do remind her that there is no snacking until dinner if she does not eat enough for lunch. Usually though she eats us out of house and home.

  • My ds is 4 and loves to eat....he eats just as much as me. My dh says I give him to much on his plate, but I always tell ds you dont have to eat all of it, just stop when your full. but he still eats all of it....everytime, everymeal.
