  • My son is a cub scout and LOVES it. Everyone else is correct, cub scouts is for younger boys boy scouts is for older. You'll get alot of info at the meetings. They will discuss cost, meetings dates, activities coming up for the school year. Hope you have fun with it. Just be prepared, there is some parent involvement. But its worth it and you will meet some great parents.

  • From what I understand Cub Scouts is just for younger kids and then they age up into Boy Scouts.

  • Cub Scouts are part of the greater umbrella Boy Scouts - Cub Scouts encompasses First grade - age 6 through around 5th grade - age 10.

  • Above is correct. The Boy Scouts is an amazing program for boys to get into. I have a friend who stayed in it all the way and became an Eagle Scout. It is on his resume and he says more questions are asked about that than his previous work experience.
