Getting rid of the bottle

My son is 18 months and I know he should be off the bottle by now but he isnt. He will use a sippy cup but whenever he does he drools the drink all over his shirt or spits it on purpose. When he uses a bottle he doesnt do any of that. Any advice?

  • He does use one with a rubber nipple. Same result. I guess maybe hes just trying to be defiant by spitting it.

  • Really, what's the rush? I didn't push it. They gave it up by 3. As long as they don't take it to kindergarten!

  • I took my daughter off the bottle as soon as she turned 1 and the Nuby sippy cups are great because of the rubber nipples.
