Do you have any unique Christmas Tradition Ideas

I am looking for some unique Christmas traditions. We do have one where we open PJs and a new ornament every Christmas eve and we watch the Grinch and Polar Express when we decorate the tree. I am looking for some other fun ones...

  • We of course make christmas cookies to leave our for santa but also leave oats & carrots for the reindeer. Every year we go outside and leave them in the front yard in a bowl.

  • This one is not so much one you do together, but we have Santa Mouse. He hides little trinket gifts in the tree limbs. It is fun for the kids to find them when all the other gifts have been opened.

  • There is the Christmas Pickle ornament that you hide somewhere in the tree and the child to find it gets an extra gift. You can find them anywhere.

  • When my kids were growing up, we would got to Christmas Eve Mass--not the Midnight Mass. We would come home and read the Nativity story from the Bible and then have dinner and birthday cake--for Jesus. As they got older, we would go to dinner after church and then home for cake.
This year, with two of them "coming home" for Christmas, we hope to do the same:-) Enjoy the years you have them all home!!!!!!
