  • We live three blocks from them the stadium, so we just sit outside and watch them.

  • oh no. My husband will take my granddaughter to Sea World to watch them. I will stay home wiht my grandson. Way too much noise stimulation, crowd, stim an color stim for him to tolerate. We'll watch some on TV with the sound off or very very low.

  • A few times! One night we are going to an air show, another night we are going with my friend and her kids to a church function that has them, and then another night we are going to visit my LP's friends for his display.

  • I don't know about taking a baby. I took my granddaughter when she was seventeen months old. We had talked about it, and told her they would be loud. We had reclining lawn chairs, and blankets (It was cold that night) and we cuddled on the chair and watched the fireworks. She loved it, even though most loud noises make her cry. She didn't like the Fire works when she was 2 1/2, but loved them again at 3 1/2. We will go again this year, too. It's so much fun. My own girls outgrew the fireworks, so there was a period of about 10 years when I stopped going as well. Now I get to enjoy everything all over again with my grandchild.

  • Just a few words of "self advertising" which you can ignore if you wish. I posted activities for parents of young children to do for the fourth of July on my blog. The address can be found on my profile page.
