How can it be 100% juice if you add water?

I am talking about concentrated juice.

  • But there is still a loophole in 100% juice from concentrate:

They have no added sugar, no added flavors, no added anything - TRUE

BUT, they can underreconstitute it. That is, if they take out 1-1/2 quarts of water, they can add back in just 1 quart of water (it's not usually that dramatic, but just for illustrations' sake). This makes the juice sugarier (still 100% juice, nothing added) and more flavorful because it is still more concentrated than fresh juice.

  • Yes, that's right. What you're buying is concentrate 100% you add water back into it.
