How do you know if you have blood clots in your legs?

I was on the nuvaring for a while,i started having problems walking. I went to the doctor for the pain and they found nothing. I never had this problem until i started using nuvaring. My problem has gotten to the pint that i can barley walk sometimes. Has anybody had this problem while on the nuvaring?

  • I got a blood clot wearing the patch.

It started out feeling like restless leg for a few days, eventually growing more painful. Exercise and stretching did not help at all. After a week I went to my OB and she didn't feel any of the typical swelling in my leg, but sent me in for an ultrasound as a precaution. That's how it was discovered.

Definitely get a second opinion! Blood clots can be deadly if left untreated.

  • Probably the only way to tell for sure is to have an ultrasound.
