Could use a passage to easy my mind a little. Could you help?

My mind is foggy. I can't think right now. Waiting for an update on a family member rushed to the ER. I have all the kids so everyone else can be there.

Could someone help me out with a Bible passage or two to comfort me a little. I can not seem to think straight to even begin to look myself.

Yes I could use Google, but would prefer something someone else uses to ease their mind.

  • The will of God would never take you where the grace of God cannot protect you.
    If God brings you to it. He will bring you through it.

  • Have you not known? Have you not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, faints not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He gives power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. – Isaiah 40:28-31

  • “Hear my prayer, O LORD,
    And give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears;
    For I am a stranger with You, A sojourner, as all my fathers were.
    Remove Your gaze from me, that I may regain strength,
    ..Before I go away and am no more.”
    Psalm 39:12-13

  • My favorite is simple. "Cast your anxiety on him because he cares for you." That has offered me such comfort knowing I can "cast" or "throw" my concerns on God because he cares about it. Whatever we go through, God has got us. Hang in there. God loves you and so do I.

    Be encouraged!

  • Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me;
    You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies,
    And Your right hand will save me.
    The LORD will perfect that which concerns me;
    Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever;
    Do not forsake the works of Your hands

  • God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. – Psalms 46:1-3

  • Lord, Though you have made me see troubles,
    many and bitter,
    you will restore my life again;
    from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up.
    ..You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.
    {Psalm 71:20-21}

  • And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. – Revelation 21:1-4

  • Psalm 23

    1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
    2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
    he leads me beside quiet waters,
    3 he restores my soul.
    He guides me in paths of righteousness
    for his name’s sake.
    4 Even though I walk
    through the valley of the shadow of death,
    I will fear no evil,
    for you are with me;
    your rod and your staff,
    they comfort me.

    5 You prepare a table before me
    in the presence of my enemies.
    You anoint my head with oil;
    my cup overflows.
    6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
    all the days of my life,
    and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
    forever.
