  • i work in a pool and i get rashes all the time from chlorine and its always in one spot like that(i get them on my upper arms and thights) the only thing i can find to stop it is taking a really good shower as soon as i get out of the pool. You also try a different swim suit or try putting a little vasoline on him before he swims

  • Does it happen in other shorts? Maybe try a new pair (different brand). Could also be something in the water he's swimming in, or the chlorine. I think the Vaseline idea is a good one to try, too. Many open water swimmers use Vaseline to keep the water off and the heat in.

  • Could be the material it's made out of. Try letting him swim in an underwear & cotton shorts and see if it still happens.
