  • Are you taking Percocet? It's a pain med commonly prescribed. It has as side effect of itching. Otherwise it may just be your hormones outta wack. Take an oatmeal bath, used tons of lotion and or aloe vera.

  • If you had an epidural, that is a side effect.

  • There is a skin condition associated with pregnancy called pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP) or polymorphic eruption of pregnancy, PUPPP usually disappears within a few days after delivery, although it sometimes persists for several weeks. (In rare cases, it may even begin after you give birth.) I got this information from: http://www.babycenter.com/0_itchy-skin-during-pregnancy_9450.bc There is more information there about what it could possibly be. My suggestion is that if you are still in the hospital, ask your doctor, if not - call and ask. Most doctors don't mind answering quick questions and the worst that will happen is that he/she will ask you to come in for a visit.
