Does this type of child's life jacket meet the requirements for boating safety? (In New York state, if that matters.)

  • I don't know - it is an approved life vest, but there are different "grades" so I'm not sure about boating. The puddle jumper is by far the BEST swim/flotation device we've ever used on any of my kids - I love it!!

  • I believe they have to have that loop behind their neck. That way you can scoop them out easier. That is what I was told once. But I am no authority on the subject.
