Where can I go to start homeschooling my child?

I live in Kentucky and I have already been given a website by an awesome mommy on here for Ky's Department of Education. Also, does anyone have any tips, advice, etc that I should know before I start this? My daughter is 5 and she is highly advanced for her age. She gets bored when she sits with other children her age because she cannot understand what they are saying or they don't fully understand what she is trying to say.

  • I enjoy reading the Homeschooling section of The Pioneer Woman's website (www.thepioneerwoman.com). She has a couple of regular contributors, so I'm sure you can follow links to their sites, and find more resources from there.

  • I would suggest you join Happy Homeschoolers if you haven't already. Check out HSLDA if you haven't already.
