For those who believe in a literal hell.

Do you think god loves those he sends to hell?
If so, how do you connect those dots?

  • "He says we only have to ask for forgiveness. "

There should be no conditions placed upon eternal, all encompassing love. It's either there, or it isn't.

  • Yup, I think God loves everyone. He sends no one to hell and wishes everyone chose heaven. We send ourselves hell.

  • "Really I don't see why that choice is so hard. A mansion, streets paved with gold and eternal life, or continuous suffering in a lake of fire. Not really hard for me. And it is spelled out very plainly for you. "

So he's buyiing your affection and devotion, correct? Promises of eathly goods that appeal to your sense of greed.

  • I don't see whats so hard about god making the CHOICE to forgive and extend that so called all encompassing love to all of his cihldren...regardless of their earth bound beliefs.
THAT would be the ultimate show of affection and love and grace.

  • Yes there is a hell. Check out Divine Revelation of Hell great book! God only asks that we accept him into our lives and live for him. He loves all of us. He gave us free will to decide how we are going to live. Heaven or Hell the choice is yours.

  • God says that no matter what we do he will always forgive us

except, of course, for not believing in him. that is the ultimate unforgiving sin, correct? and those who commit it have "chosen" hell?

  • again, he allegedly gave us this "free will" yet punishes those to an eternal place of fire and brimstone if we use our free will (given by him) in ways that he doesn't agree with? or *gasp* to worship someone other than him? makes him sound like an arrogant and selfish asshole.
    >>>
Nope, makes him sound like an all powerful, just God. His love for you doesn't change no matter what you do. I have no idea whether he will admit me you to heaven or not, that's between you and him.

No one knows for sure what God is going to do with you, in the end. But what you say is well within the realm of possible. And if you don't believe in him, what do you care what anyone who does thinks?
