Tattoos while breastfeeding?

yay or nay???

Even though I am asking on here.. I will still be following up with my lactation consultant.. Just want to hear what people think or know about it.. thanks :)

  • Nope! Most tat artists will not tat you if you are nursing. There is too high of a risk for Hepatitus. Wait until after you are done nursing.

  • I don't think I would. I have no aversion to tattoos, i have a few. I just get a little paranoid and I dont know if anyone really knows if its ok so I would stay on the side of caution.

  • BTW, I have 6 of them. My last I didn't get until 6 months after weaning. It represents my daughter.

  • yeah thats what I wanted to get.. an E for Emma on my wrist and then a heart shaped garnet at the bottom right of the E :) its her birthstone.. thats fine I can wait :)
