  • 12 When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out at the top of her voice and said to Saul, “Why have you deceived me? You are Saul!”
13 The king said to her, “Don’t be afraid. What do you see?”
The woman said, “I see a ghostly figure[a] coming up out of the earth.”
14 “What does he look like?” he asked.
“An old man wearing a robe is coming up,” she said.
Then Saul knew it was Samuel, and he bowed down and prostrated himself with his face to the ground.
15 Samuel said to Saul, “Why have you disturbed me by bringing me up?”
“I am in great distress,” Saul said. “The Philistines are fighting against me, and God has departed from me. He no longer answers me, either by prophets or by dreams. So I have called on you to tell me what to do.”

  • The term "paranormal" did not exist then. They called it "miracles" I suppose. Or visions. WHatever,

  • Very creative paranormality in the Bible , more so than UFO's and Hollywood horror movies .

  • You mean Supernatural Experiences??
Such as Philip being transported, Enoch being taken, Elijah going up in a whirlwind. The Sun standing Still for a day.. Balaam's donkey speaking, , The transfiguration on the Mount, Jesus showing up in a room without going through the door, John's trip to Heaven, Peter's out of body experience, The Manna from Heaven, The water from the rock, the Red Sea parting, and the list goes on... I think God endorses it however... Satan has perverted it as well.
The source of these supernatural experiences are important to recgonise!

  • I am not sure they would classify it as paranormal like we would though. Maybe that is what they would consider evil things?
