Should i enroll in summer day care?

DD is 3 (four in sept and starting preschool then)
anyway- my question is should i enroll her in summer day care?
I really want to spend time with her before she heads off to school kwim? but i can't always be home for her and i have work trips and what not. plus we plan on moving into a new house hopefully by spring next year so i will be searching for that.
but at daycare she will be with her friends, activities, games, field trips and what not. anyway- should i send or keep her?

  • By summer daycare do you mean just during the day? Or will she be staying somewhere?

  • during the day.
morning care starts at 7 (the actual program starts at 8:30) and ends at 4. but aftercare ends at 6

  • If you think she will be happy there and you can afford it, I say go ahead and enroll her. If there is no part-time option near you, you still don't HAVE TO put her in there for the full time just because it's offered. You could just have her go a few days a week or not the whole day. That way, you have someplace she's happy and comfortable when you have to work/travel/house-hunt, and you can play with her at other times.

  • The day care. You can always pick her up early or keep her out on days that you are free. They generally like the independence and will have great stories to tell about their day.
