Does having one ovary have anything to do with hcg levels?

i have one ovary and I am 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant does that affect my hcg count?

  • I don't think it should. Even if you have two ovaries, I believe you usually only ovulate from one side.

  • I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't think so. hCG is produced by the fertilized egg after it implants in your uterus. As far as I know, ovaries don't have anything to do with it.

  • No it doesn't. Hgc is released because the brain is told to release it. The ovaries just produce eggs.

  • HCG is made in the placenta. Having more than one placenta can effect HCG levels. I know because I had 2 with my last pregnancy and gave birth to twins.
