Nighttime Snack

Do you allow your children to have a light snack before going to bed? If so, what do you give them?

  • Sure do. We have dinner early because my husband works 12 hour shifts so hes starving when he gets home. Around 7ish we have a snack.

  • depends..if he asks before bedtime then yes usually a cookie or 2 or some cereal or fruit. but if he asks while he is about to lay in bed then no he can wait till morning. I always wait at least 20-30 minutes before putting him to bed if hes had a snack...if i put him to bed any sooner he throws up..i love my child but i am totally grossed out by vomit. I wont even clean the sheets if he pukes on them i just throw them away. its not very cost efficient, but i cant stomach washing them.

  • no snack, but we don't eat dinner until 6:30, so there isn't usually enough time from after dinner to bed time for them to want something else.

  • Yes, if they're hungry they can have a cereal bar.
