Reasons for waking up tired?

I don't understand I wake up still tired every morning.. I go to bed at a decent hour 10:00 and I wake up at 5:00am, so that is 7 hours of sleep. and every morning I wake up wanting to go back to sleep. I stay tired most of the work day, finally feeling awake around noon.

Does this happen to anyone else, does anyone know why?

  • Yes. Last night I went to bed at 10:30 and got up at 6:30. So you're thinking, wow, 8 hours of sleep! Wrong. I wake up a lot during the night, never get a full night's sleep, so I'm usually always tired. Maybe that's what's happening to you.

  • 7 hours may not be enough for you but it's also quality of sleep that counts. How much oxygen you're getting plays a huge part. Are you stuffed up through the night? You may need to get rid of dust mites. Perhaps your pillow isn't supporting you well for good airflow. How is the air circulation in your home? Sleep apnea could be an issue.
