What's for dinner tonight?

I told my mom that we would bring her dinner tonight and play cards afterward. But I am having a hard time deciding what to make. Any ideas? I have chicken breast or ground beef.

Inspire me please!

  • We are having cheeseburger pie and I'm making a pot of red beans and rice for a neighbor whose mother is gravely ill.

  • We're having stuffed peppers. First time making them with red ones instead of green peppers.

  • Dh is going to make a quick throw-together hot dish - tonight it'll be ground beef, whatever pasta the kids pick, either corn or green beans, and sauced with cream of celery soup. Cheese & seasonings vary every time. Kind of like a homemade hamburger helper.

Here is a link to the recipe. I use ground turkey in place of the ground beef. I also add a tad bit more cheese to it, chipotles, garlic, spread jalapenos on top of it. It's very good. My family loves it.

  • Sloppy Joe's? Chicken and noodles?

For me...I am making lasagna tonight, and depending on what you have on hand, that could be an option for you too.
