  • I thought a multi-course meal meant appetizer, soup, main meal, dessert, and whatever else. I make meals that consist of the food groups - on everyone's plate will be protein, grain, and veggies, with fruit as dessert - I don't see that as a coursed meal.

  • Yes. I do for lunch too. 4 oz of meat and 2 different veggies. Sometimes we will also have a grain like brown rice or quinoa and we always have a garden salad.

  • I agree with Anon... But to answer your question.. I usually make a meat and 2 sides.. most of the time its potatoes and a veggie or rice and a veggie.. or noodles and a veggie..

  • I use to try to do one veggie, one meat, one starch. My husband never ate like that growing up. His mother was too busy partying. He told me it wasn't necessary, so now I make sure there is at least a vegetable with the main course.

  • Yes, usually all our meals contain a protein, carb and vegetable.

  • I just do an entree course, although we often get a dessert, too. For the entree, I have a protein, a carb and one or two veggies.

Tonight, I did stuffed bell peppers (stuffing was ground venison, crushed tomatoes, rice and spices) with home-made corn bread. I finished off the plate with a simple mix of spring greens.
