Do you think Avery is a boy or girl name??

I am thinking about this name for my daughter and I am curious how many ppl think its a boy name. Thanks.

  • I've always heard it as a boy name, but it's an old name and I'm sure it'd be fine both ways if you wanted it... it's your baby :-) name it want you want and don't worry about others.

  • yepp.. i feel like avery is sooo feminine like i watched a show where the guys name was Avery and he was gay i feel like it was hte name that made him gay. LOL jk. (kinda) but i think Avery is beautiful for a girl!!!

  • I think it can be a boys or a girls. I know of one girl named Avery, but I would think it could also be a boy's name.

  • It can be either. I think it used to be more common for boys but is now more common for girls. My cousin's daughter is named Averie; she thought the "ie" made it more obviously feminine, but I like it better with the "y" as you have spelled it.
