What is the difference between MULTIPARITY and MULTIPLE GESTATION? I thought they both mean >1 baby pregnancy.

I am asking because I need this information for a paper I am writing for my Comp II class at Kaplan University and I thought they were the same thing but a website I found lists them both separately as causes of Placenta Praevia.

  • I would head to your local medical library. The whole point of doing research papers is to do the research yourself.

  • It's not a research paper. We don't have a medical library. Also I am curious because my paper ISN'T even about that it is a persuasive paper about home birth and I wanted to know if it was necessary to include both as possible causes of previa or rather just overkill.

  • miriamz thank you so much. I think they are using multiparity as more than one birth... makes sense now. lol
