Jarred baby food bananas

Since the nestly recall on babyfood banans was all over the news thismorning, it made me think for a second....who would buy a jar of bananas, (with, whatever else they put in it) When one can mash a fresh banana in 30 seconds?? Its actually sadly funny in a way, that people even buy the jarred

  • My DD loves real mashed bananas so we only used jarred bananas once. Did they recall a certain brand or all of them?

  • My DS would not eat the jarred ones! They taste NASTY because of all the citric acid they have to put in them to keep them looking all pretty. lol. He preferred real ones I made with a little Orange juice.

  • The only time I bought the jarred bananas is when the real bananas looked too gross to take home.

  • my DD didnt like the jarred ones either...she didnt like them mashed up fresh either haha. we used to cut them in very small pieces and she mashed them w/ her gums herself. so long as you know how to store it, freshly mashed stuff is always way cheaper!

  • So the Gerber ones in the plastic container is ok? I mash real bananas for her but since I have WIC and they give us a ridiculous amount of baby food we also have baby food bananas.
