Obviously when you enter a religious debate, both sides are going to be argued. Your beliefs or non-beliefs will be challenged or refuted. This is not bashing, and if you can't separate the two, don't enter a public debate forum and then cry about your beliefs or non-beliefs being bashed.

  • Be prepared for others to agree AND disagree with you and your ideas.

When you post something, especially about a controversial topic, expect that your viewpoints and opinions may be vigorously questioned, challenged, and held up to scrutiny. If having your opinions challenged and being expected to defend your position will make you uncomfortable, please don't post about that topic.

  • I feel persecuted by this post. I am going to go write a journal about how you violated my beliefs by pointing out the obvious.

  • OMG! Too funny! Sorry, a group of “adult” women having to be sat down like school girls because they get their panties in a wad when someone debates them. Bravo to you OP, LOL

  • but it goes for both sides.

What "both sides"? Are you suggesting there's a group of people screaming about being debated with and demanding bashing instead?

  • LOL. Thank you for the definitions. I'm sure some of us are too lazy to bother looking them up ourselves. I rarely see true "bashing" going on here.

  • Thank you! People are too damn sensative these days and don't even have the balls to take on an argument without being offended.

Answer by Imogine at 8:41 PM on Jul. 2, 2011

  • Both sides of the DEBATE

Was there somewhere in the OP that implied it was only addressing a single group of people?

Answer by NotPanicking at 8:52 PM on Jul. 2, 2011
