  • keep an eye on your baby through the night, if he continues to throw up and diahrea he may have a stomach flu, dehydration or an allergy to something.

  • He takes naps at 9pm? Anyway, maybe you should call your doctor. I assume he eats some people food by now, try some chicken soup or saltine crackers.

  • Asholan.....Right now as I write this, it is 6:09 in California, and my daughter will be waking from her nap soon. There are different time zones on Cafe Mom, and even different countries.....

Hinson, sorry I do not have an answer for you, but keep offering fluids, and if the vomiting/diarrhea continues more than 72 hours, or your baby starts seeming lethargic, take him to the ER, because dehydration is the main concern in situations like that.

  • He only threw up once and had diarrhea once. Don't give him any meds. People get diarrhea and vomitting to expel any bacteria, etc. from their bodies. If you give him meds, he will stop vomitting but may not expel whatever he needs to. Don't worry unless it has been going on for awhile. Encourage fluids to prevent dehydration.
