Do you share your relationship issues with your family?

I can talk to my mom about almost anything, but I always knew from the beginning NEVER to involve her in any problems I have with my husband.( not that we have any hardly ever anymore)

  • I keep it mostly to myself. On occasion, I will talk to my sister or my grandmother, but it's rare. I don't want them to get a negative opinion of my DH based on such a small part of our lives.

  • I pretty much agree with flamingomegs. We have never had serious problems like cheating or abuse, more like annoying things or arguments over how to handle something. My mom and sisters I talk to a lot, but they have known my LP as long as I have and are NOT the type to act like "when it gets hard leave" or like everyone should be perfect. A few of my girlfriends I have learned to not go to with any issues, as they immediately go to "he is an ass, leave" no matter what the issue is or who is right or wrong.

  • My mother God love her soul is just one of those people you can't communicate with and get a straight answer, she is and always has been a space cadet in her own little world, so I have never talked about my relationship with hubby, only because most of the time she just doesn't understand or understands backward. For that I have my best friend of over 40 years.
