MILITARY BASE -(single home) HOW IS THE LIVING in military facilities

AFTER 6 YEARS IN GERMANY, my son came home. But not to his home state. He explained he was not returning. (well I thought to myself) He wants me with him and his wife and kids. Fore he know I am suffering here, (go nowhere job, high rent, etc.) Also he is going back out to Afghanistan, and he wants his wife and mom together??

So, my son has made me a true "ARMY MOM" moving to Kentucky from NJ. Please tell me about the living, and the Fort Campbell area, scared to death. this will be home for 3 years. help

  • Ft Campbell was my favorite place of all the places we were stationed, and I think it has gotten even better. It is actually in two state, Kentucky and Tennessee. Two major towns are Hopkinsville, Ky. and Clarksville Tn. Clarksviville has really growna lot; Nashville is not too far away for major shopping. Housing is good, lots of facilities on post. I loved it.
