Do all preschools charge?

  • We are fortunate to have one where I live that is a part of the public school system, so it was free (and awesome!) If you are talking about Head Start, they do charge based on income. You'll just have to search online and see if there is one in your neck of the woods. There may be options other than Head Start. You may also check with your DHS office - sometimes they have information, as well.

  • In our town there are 3 options. Private preschool that costs approximately $200/mo. HeadStart which is free if you meet the guidelines. And our school district has an early ed/special ed preschool that is free.

  • PAY UP! NOTHING IS FOR FREE!!! Everything here cost money, even the Public Schools....even low income families have to pay something.
