The Coral Castle was originally named: Ed's Place. A stone complex in Homestead, Florida stands as a monument of one mans solitary efforts to understand and use the knowledge of the ancient pyramid masons. He claimed to have unlocked these secrets and constructed a complex containing over 110,000 lbs. of solid coral rock, the largest piece of which weighs more than 31,000 lbs. by itself.
Ed was a small man. At around 110 lbs and just over 5 ft. tall, he didn't look the type to move mountains of rock single-handedly. However, it seems that he did: Not just once, but twice! Originally, Ed's Place was constructed in Rock Gate, just up the road from Homestead. See about Ed at http://www.facebook.com/leedskalnin.
