Question:Cheerleading: Football vs recreational tumbling?

What are the differences (my dd is almot 5)?
Last night (4th of July) I recieved some fliers & dont know the differences in the 2.
1 flier is for a cheerleading squad that cheers at the Footballs games
2nd flier is for "competitive cheer & recreational tumbling".

So. I understand 1 is for the classic Cheering on the football team & the other is NOT on the field, but competition squads...
But what is the other differences that set the 2 apart?
Is the 2nd flier more about technique & honing in on skill & the 1st about doing cute cheers & having fun?

  • They are both two seperate things. The first one is what you typically think of when cheering. The other is like what you see in competitions on ESPN or like Bring it On. I did both growing up and in my opinion the second is becoming more common but it is also more demanding. Each has its perks. If you have more questions feel free to msg me. I cheered since I was little and now coach.
