Why didnt my jello JELL!

I made jello with fruit yesterday (stawberry,pineapple, grapes,cherry's)
I boiled the water. Added cold water +mix. Added fruit. Set in fridge!

Seriously! Who fails at making Jello!??

  • did you dissolve the Jello in the hot water first... I think they tell you to stir that for a while before adding the cold water right?? LOL we've all done something like that at one point!! ;o)

  • lol :) I wonder if there was too much liquid that came off of the fruit and it diluted it? That's the only thing I could think of if you followed the recipe correctly

  • OK! I think Crafty said it..
    I pretty much added cold+hot+jell.... INSTEAD OF: Hot+ jell until it blended together then + cold water.
