  • My anxiety gives me awful chest pain. Anxious enough to only sleep 3-4 hrs then wake up ready to take on the world. It's insane. Meds will help. I miscarried the beginning of June and it got BAD so I am on Ativan for now to get by and there is something else for me to use if they think I need it for longer term. Since you seem to have a history of it I'd say talk to your Doc. Believe me I hate meds but nothing else has worked. Meditations, exercise, avoid caffeine and foods high in sugar...

  • Anxiety is just extra energy. I am also an anxious person. What helps me is to make sure I get exercise (very hard to do now since I'm 9 months pregnant and its 95F), and avoid things like coffee, soda, even SUGAR will get my anxiety going. Self talk never worked for me, I think its kinda silly IMO. I always felt so gooood after a jog on the treadmill.

  • is it anxiety or depression there is a difference--you can read more about both here

Good Luck and God Bless no matter which it is neither one is fun to be dealing with I have been dealing with both for years and the doctors have put me on several medicines and finally found one that helps me. The best thing is to talk to your doctor about what is going on and they can help you the best.

  • Iwould talk to your ob-gyn , this could be a form of depression. You certainly don't want it to be worse post-partum. I hope Dr.s r much more
educated and understanding regarding these illnesses in this day AND age good luck.
