  • After we saw a tornado while we were driving and now that she knows the implications of not having a basement to go to in the event of a tornado, my oldest daughter is very fearful of tornado watches and warnings, and when the sirens go off in town, she is terrified. Even though it scares me too, I tell her that we are in the safest spot in our house and mom and dad will always protect her.

As far as regular storms, nobody is too worked up...except the cats.
