  • yes this is normal, when you change a babies diet and or food consumption, it naturally changes there poop : ) my daughter only poops once a day as well,

  • Yes & no. Yes it is definitely to be expected with the introduction of food. It takes a lot for his little body to digest things at first. No in the fact that you should not let it continue. If you are feeding cereal perhaps try starting with avocados instead. The cereals can be quite constipating. Take your time, it is just for practice so you don't need to feed a lot.  Just watch the poops and do your best to help relieve the constipation.  So yes everything is normal.

  • was he straining? was the stool hard? if so it might be necessary to delay solids for a few more weeks and re-introduce them.

  • Yes that is very normal. The poop is not normal but him becoming a little constipated is. This has happened to my DD. Delaying solids isn't going to help. It's the cereal (I'm assuming) that's doing it. Cereal is just a practice food and not nutritionally necessary. Once your LO gets used to solids you might want to add some prunes which are stage 1 foods to ward off constipation.  We do this and it cleared up constipation just fine.

  • Him going a day without pooping is normal. But when the poop gets hard like that it means he's constipated try some prune juice or apple juice. Small amounts!!!
